Weekly Update from Maine

The Maine State Police has updated their active concealed handgun permits. As of May 8, 2017, there are 18,676 active resident permits. This is a decrease of 107 permits (-0.57%) from May 1, 2017 when 18,783 resident permits were active. As of May 8, 2017, there are 10,563 active non-resident permits. This is a decrease of 10 permits (-0.09%) from May 1, 2017 when 10,573 non-resident permits were active. As of May 8, 2017, there are 29,239 total active permits. This is a decrease of 117 permits (-0.40%) from May 1, 2017 when 29,356 total permits were active.

Monthly update from Maryland

The Maryland State Police has responded to a Public Information Act in regards to the number of active Wear & Carry (W&C) Permits and Handgun Qualification Licenses (HQLs). Number of active Wear and Carry Permits (W&C) as of 04/30/2017: 18,482. This is an increase of 182 permits from last month (18,300). Number of active Maryland Handgun Qualification Licenses (HQL) as of 05/05/2017: 76,839. This is an increase of 1,360 from last month (75,479).
